NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATE

Two surveys have been conducted in this neighborhood! Excellent feedback has been received from the residents which will drive action, growth, and participation in this neighborhood.  We have waited over a year to finally host an in person neighborhood meeting! Sunday, June 13th 2-4pm at Westover Park will be a time to come together to meet each other, greet each other, share goals and information, and have a good time.

From this event the goal is to establish a working neighborhood group to partner with the City to achieve the needs and wants that arose from the surveys.  Scroll below to click on the survey results gathered.  If you want to be involved in your neighborhood, please contact Officer Cindi Threlkeld at 937-847-6675 or cindi.threlkeld@cityofmiamisburg.com

This neighborhood is in the early stages of the C.A.R.E.S. Program.

The second neighborhood introduced to the C.A.R.E.S. Program is the area defined by homes within Seibert Ave., Riverview Ave., and Curtis Dr.  Work began in fall of 2019 soliciting input from the residents. Typically in the C.A.R.E.S. Program staff and volunteers would canvas the neighborhood doing a door-to-door survey to gather input from residents as well as making that face to face connection.

However, because of the COVID pandemic that began in March 2020, other creative measures began to take shape to gather input. Because of a partnership with the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) and Montgomery County Land Bank, a new survey tool was created. In addition to a hard copy mailed survey to 324 addresses, an online Strengths, Weaknesses, and Opportunity tool was used to gather input.

Data and resident information collected will be used to establish a prioritization and timeline of goals for this neighborhood. During 2021, goals will be discussed with residents with the intent of moving towards short term action items.

All will concede that in order to have good neighbors, we must also be good neighbors.
